Ravaged by Elisabeth Naughton

★★★★  I can always tell how much I missed the Argonauts, as soon as I pick up one of their books. This is book #7.5 in the series, and as it was just a novella, for me, it was over too quickly.. however.. it did bring up some good intrigue that I hope will be resolved in the next story.

I believe I first met Ari, in Nick's book, Twisted, and I am glad he got a story of his own. He, like all the Argonauts, are strong leads, who need a confident match. Daphne was a good mate for him.  I can't  wait to see whose story is next.  I say this with every addition to this series... if haven't read about these Eternal Guardians.. You really should!!!

Here's the blurb:

AriOnce an Eternal Guardian, now he's nothing but a rogue mercenary with one singular focus: revenge.

His guardian brothers all think he’s dead, but Ari is very much alive in the human realm, chipping away at Zeus’s Sirens every chance he can, reveling in his brutality and anonymity. Until, that is, he abducts the wrong female and his identity is finally exposed. It will take more than the Eternal Guardians, more even than the gods to rein Ari in after everything he’s done. It may just take the courage of one woman willing to stand up to a warrior who’s become a savage

All I Need Is You by Wendy S. Marcus

★★★  This is the second installment in the Loving You series. After reading the first book, Loving you is easy, I was very much looking forward to Neve and Rory's story.

The Neve, I was expecting was this spunky, witty, confident girl. Sadly for me, I found her lacking the self worth I expected her to have. She was a hard character for me to relate to. I could not understand her choices, why she thought and/or acted the way she did..  and at times this really frustrated me. I don't agree with, what I took to be her whole "sex solves everything" theory and found it got a bit tiresome of watching her berating herself after for being "that girl."

Rory was a good character. He proved himself to be caring and I loved how he seemed to make sure to show Neve that she was worth a lot in his eyes.

I quite enjoy this authors writing style and I really hope Neve's brother Nate gets a book... there's a line or so in the epilogue I believe.. that makes me think that he just might!  I look forward to reading more from her.

** I received a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.**

Here's the blurb:

The Cinderella Princess by Melissa McClone

★★★★★  I was hesitant to read this...mostly, I think, as I thought it may turn out to be cheesy. The whole Cinderella/Prince plot. But wow.. when I started reading, I just devoured it!! Couldn't put it down. It's the perfect short romantic story, The right amount of everything.. it was fast paced, and full without feeling rushed. Both characters were fun and amusing. Emily is an Ad executive, with a strong work ethic and just wants to get the job done. However, Prince Luc has other ideas. He was sweet and charming. The perfect hero in this story.  This was the first book I have read by this author, and it won't be the last!  I would to highly recommend this book to anyone looking for a quick, fun fairy-tale romance.

**I was gifted this book in exchange for an honest review**

Here's the blurb:

Thanks to a philandering father, ad exec Emily Rodgers knows happily ever after doesn’t exist. Relying on a man only leads to heartache. She takes care of herself, and work defines her life. But Emily soon finds herself in the hands of a real-life prince who defines the words charming and sexy. Not to mention reckless. If Prince Lucas doesn’t find a royal bride, Emily’s dream of being named a partner at the advertising firm will die.

Luc’s fun-loving ways have made him a magnet for scandal. His father gives Luc an ultimatum—find a wife on a reality TV show or be disowned. Rules require him to marry nobility, but after he meets the uptight American sent to find him find a princess bride, his search for Cinderella might be over. Too bad Emily wants nothing to do with him. Perhaps he can show her that fairytale endings can happen in real life…

Something Sinful by Suzanne Enoch

★★★ This is the third book in the "Griffin Family Series" I quite enjoyed the first two and still can't wait to read the fourth.. but this one.. I found it a little harder to get into than normal, with this author. I hunted around for this book for a long time, so perhaps I just had super high expectations. There were laughs and I enjoyed the lead characters Shay and Sarala. For what ever reason her name tripped me up throughout the entire book.. not sure why..  This story is still worth a read and I can't wait for Sebastian's.. His book is up next!

Here's the blurb:

It was lust at first sight . . .

She was a vision, an exotic goddess who floated across the ballroom, conjuring images of warm nights and silk sheets, and Lord Charlemagne Griffin felt lightning shoot straight to his . . . well, he was definitely interested. So the lady isn't exactly the sharpest knife on the rack, as Shay soon discovers, but the generous bosom just above her low neckline more than makes up for it. Before he knows it, Shay is bragging about an impending business deal to impress her . . .

Lady Sarala Carlisle may appear naïve, but too late Shay realizes her unconventional beauty masks a razor-sharp intelligence and flawless instincts—and she'd just bested him! Well, two can play at this game, and one of Shay's many skills is the fine art of seduction.

But in this contest, the only thing to lose is one's heart.

Accidentally In Love by Laura Drewry

★★★★★ The Friends First series, has become one of my favourite straight romance series.  I have read all 3 books so far and the characters have perfect chemistry, each time. I just can't seem to put the books down!

This is the third book in the series, and what a great addition. Ellie Palmer, I just love her straight, upfront, tell it like it is honesty. That coupled with her bit of sarcasm, makes her have two of my favourite qualities in a character.  And boy did she wield them well.  Most of the time straight at Brett Hale, sometimes being lucky enough to earn the reward of a smile.. which I must say, I totally loved that  Brett tries to hide them.  Brett was a great combination of quiet and assertiveness.  The perfect match for Ellie. I loved that he enjoyed her witty/sarcastic comebacks, and had a great sense of humour of his own.  Best yet... the sparks between these two.. whoa!  I didn't want it to end!

Laura Drewry crafts a fantastic , funny, contemporary romance, and I am completely looking forward to Maya's story.... well I am assuming Maya will get a story...wait..  Maya better get a story!!!

If you have not read this author or series before and enjoy a fun romance.. I would highly recommend these books!

I was gifted a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Here's the blurb:

Fans of Jill Shalvis and Susan Mallery will love Laura Drewry's warm and humorous new Friends First romance, a sexy romp about a good cop and a bad girl playing hard to get.

Ellie Palmer and cops don't mix, and getting pulled over by Officer Brett Hale—again—doesn't help. Neither does being forced to take a safe-driving course with him. Brett's by-the-book attitude leaves Ellie ice-cold, and his rock-hard body won't change that. Still, the more time she spends with the guy, the more she finds herself warming up to his unexpected charms.

Even though Brett comes off like a boy scout, Ellie has sparked something he wants badly enough to get him to rethink his past mistakes. But when her ex shows up, Brett makes it his mission to keep Ellie safe in the here and now. His gut tells him the guy's trouble, and Ellie must agree, because she doesn't complain when Brett pulls her close. To keep her safe, though, he'll have to choose between breaking her heart . . . and breaking the rules.

Proof By Seduction By Courtney Milan

★★★★  This is the first book in the Carhart Series, and also the first book I have read by this author. I quite enjoyed it. Gareth is a stiff, brooding, factual kind of man. While Jenny is open and free.  I think they had wonderful chemistry right from the beginning. Ned - Gareth's cousin.. he was a bit of a whiner at times.. but even he turned out alright in my eyes. There was one point where Gareth says something to Jenny that I felt was kinda out of character for him.. didn't think he would have thought that.. but.. it wasn't a deal breaker for me.

I caught myself chuckling out loud and I often put my duties off to get back to reading.. all in all a good read and an author I am going to read more from!

Here's the blurb:

"She was his last chance for a future of happiness..."A gifted fortune-teller from a humble background, Jenny can make even the most sophisticated skeptic believe her predictions simply by batting her smoky eyelashes. Until she meets her match in Gareth Carhart, the Marquess of Blakely, a sworn bachelor and scientist.

"He just didn't know it yet"

Broodingly handsome, Gareth is scandalized to discover his cousin has fallen under the spell of "Madame Esmerelda," and vows to prove Jenny a fraud. But his unexpected attraction to the fiery enchantress defies logic. Jenny disrupts every facet of Gareth's calculated plan--until he can't decide whether to seduce her or ruin her. Now, as they engage in a passionate battle of wills, two lonely souls must choose between everything they "know."..and the boundless possibilities of love.
